On Saturday Evening in Etihad stadium,melbourne
the pre-tournament Favorites Melbourne Stars will compete with Skipper
Aaron Finch's Melbourne Renegades.This will be a must win game for Stars
if they want to stand any chance for finishing in top four team.They
have suffered three straight loss and a loss here against reds will make
for them impossible to qualify for finals.Renegades also have just one
win from their three matches and they also need to come on winning ways
soon if they want to escape early elimination.
Its very hard to believe that stars have yet to win a game in this
fourth edition of league having dangerous players like Skipper
White,Luke Wright, Glenn Maxwell,David Hussey and faulkner.
Stars are having a change in the squad.Having missed two previous
matches for Stars coming back in the squad will be Kevin Peterson.And
In-form batsman Rob Quiney will make place for him.Stars would have
loved to have both in the team but Quiney has suffered a groin injury in
their previous match and will miss this clash.KP will look to repeat
same performance what Rob Quiney has done even with injury in last game
and almost snatched a win.Beer,Bird and boland will continue their job
with ball for stars.
For Renegades there will be one forced change
they have to make for Saturday.Paceman Piter Siddle has gone to Sydney
to play against India for fourth test.And replacing him will be Leftarm
fast Nick Winter who will play his second BBL match.Skipper Finch looked
back in form in previous match and renegades will hope he will set
platform once again for struggling middle order.
The time has come
now for Stars to take their first win and one big performance from out
of form Maxi or skipper White or hard hitter opner Wright should be
enough for Stars to win against Renegades side who looks weak on paper
and are also struggling in the early part of tournament.
