Anticipation for PK has sky rocketed, so everyone have decided to give the new releases a miss. As a result all the new releases Kaash Tum Hote, Life Mein Twist Hai and Main Aur Mr. Riight opened with empty houses. Only Badlapur Boys had some footfalls and earned 50 lakhs in its first three days, though that won't help the film much.
After earning 45 crore in its first week,Action Jackson dropped heavily and earned 6.50 crore in its second weekend which is a nearly 80 percent drop from its first weekend. The film was helped by the fact that there was no major release on this weekend unless it could be worse. The film so far has earned 52 crore nett and considering the release of PK next weekend there is not much hope for AJ. Even crossing the 60 crore mark looks impossible.
