Peter Jackson’s Middle Earth finale rang up
an estimated $11.2million from its Tuesday night previews which starts
from 7 PM. While that fell behind the $13 million midnight start of
2012s 'An unexpected journey' it easily beats the $8.8 million Thursday
night figure of 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug'.
Last weekend the Hobbit finale opens into 37 foreign markets including United Kingdom, Germany and Russia, Where it earns a very strong $122.2 million. On the state The first film kicked off to $ 84.6 million in 2012 and the second chapter earned
$73.6 million. The strong midnight number for the third chapter means
it too will bow with at least $70 million but the problem is that unlike
the previous two hobbit movies it has to face two strong competitors on
its first weekend in the since both “Annie” and “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" will enter the theaters on Friday.
