After earning a very respectable 26.63 cr on its opening day, PK is trending very well on its second day. As per early reports, the morning shows have seen 10 to 15 percent drops which is a very good sign, Since the afternoon and evening shows will definitely be stronger than Friday thanks in parts to corporate block bookings.
There's some concern regarding the higher ticket price but It looks like fans of Aamir-Hirani Jodi are still passionate enough to check the movie in theaters. Word of mouth is super strong with exceptional reviews from the critics but the biggest problem the film had to face is single screens which is not strong enough to put up a record number. Still looking at the trends the film's business is sure to jump today and a 10% jump would result in a 28-29 crore second day. though a jump in the range of 20 percent would be a more expected result, PK is performing well enough to ensure a healthy lifetime, keeping in mind the holiday season.
