5th ODI: England vs Australia Preview And Prediction

Saturday 12 September 2015

Old Trafford, Manchester - So England managed to stay in this odi series and earn themself a final clash on Sunday as we expected in our previous match preview and prediction. So now all is set for the final clash of this summer between the two rivals.Fourth odi was another do or die game for england who were trailing 1-2 in the series but with the help of brilliant 92 from the skipper Morgan they won by 3 wickets at Leeds and managed to level the 5 matches series to 2-2.In the start of series aussies played couple of matches like champions of odi and won both comfortably but after that there is noticiable drop in their bowling performance and with Starc rested they are left with pretty inexperienced bowling side in the series. Now for the final clash both team move again to manchester old trafford where they played 3rd odi and england won comfortably by 93 runs. But that was a day/night game and on sunday it will be a early morning start so team winning toss might offer batting to opposition under seaming conditions of early morning. In the leeds also England managed to take advantage of early start and Willey got them 3 early wickets. The weather is unlikely to interfere and english people will be coming to enjoy this final on a dry and warm Sunday.

                                                      TEAM NEWS

Steven Finn was rested in fourth odi so he is likely to make a come back in the squad for the final odi in place of Mark Wood who is leaking too many runs probably without required wickets.
Australia will need to make a place for Allrounder Aston Agar who was noticibly good whenever he played in this series and they have to also take decision on Starc,if they want to give some strength to their bowling they will need to push him here for the final clash otherwise it will be again ordinary bowling lineup of australians and they again may struggle to defend score around 300 or may leak too many while bowling first.
PREDICTION Nobody would have thought that after trailing 2-0 in the first two odi england will manage to stay in the series till the last match but with the brillant batting from Skipper Morgan and James Taylor they did manage to .And now they have momentum with them and with weak bowling line up of aussies I would back them to win their third consecutive odi here and finish the long summer on High in their Home.
                                                           ENGLAND TO WIN !!
