Stage will be set for one last melbourne derby of the season on Saturday when at Melbourne Cricket Ground Skipper Cameron White's Melbourne Stars will face their city rivals in bbl04 Melbourne Renegades.
Both teams have enjoyed similar kind of tournament so far picking up couple of crucial to stay alive in the race for semi-finals.
Having won just two matches so far from their five matches they need to win their remaining three matches. And this clash will decide which Melbourne city team will go more close to give fight for top four and which will be almost eliminated .
Stars are coming into the match having survived a super over clash against Sydney Sixers.All rounder James Faulkner rescued them with brilliant performance both with bat and ball. While Renegades also looking picking up some form.After the latest inclusions of all rounders Ben Stokes and Shakib-al-hasan.
Both made immediate impact on renegades game with bat and ball in their first match and they are now looking much better side.Their Pacerman Piter Siddle also looked steamy with the ball in their previous win. The weather at MCG looked alarming with forecast of rain tomorrow but ground staff are expecting to get clear weather after the rain in the afternoon and are sure to have a full 20 overs blast from each side.
Team News- Renegades included James Pattinson in their squad for melbourne derby.He had missed their last game to recover his injury and making way for him in the squad will be Matt Short.
The Melbourne Stars have made one change Clint Mckay is dropped without playing in final 11 of the team this bbl04 and Daniel Worrall has been brought into the squad.
Last time when both clashed last week Stars had very comfortable win but things will be definitely not be same here.Hosts Stars do have big names like Kevin Peterson,Luke Wright,Maxwell, Faulkner and Skipper White and anyone can turn things on head.And Renegades side is looking more balanced and with Pattinson back to help other pacer Piter Siddle they looks perfect to create an upset here.
