After loosing to Melbourne Renegades as we predicted Hobart Hurricanes side will now travel to sydney to take on skipper Mike Hussey's Sydney Thunder.Both team have been inconsistent in the league so far and are having only four points each.Hobart now needs to win all their remaining matches to stand a chance to qualify for semis and Hosts thunder also need to do almost same.
Hobarts despite having good solid line up have been inconsistent with bat while Thunders are relying quite heavily on King Kallis. Kallis were also their star performer in their win over Defending champion Perth Scorchers and they will come with some confidence in this clash.While Hobart fallout again in pressure with bat in their clash against Melbourne Renegades and now surely need their deep batting line up to perform better.
Team News - As the tournament is reaching to end of group stages injures to players of bbl squads continuing in this fast paced clashes.
For Visitors there will be couple as Hurricanes Vice-Captain Tim Paine is out due to broken toe while middle order batsman Travis Birt is having strained hamstring and both will not be available for friday clash. Alex Hales is also gone for international duties so replacing them in the squad will be Shoaib Malik alongside Dominic Michael and Sean Willis.
For Hosts Thunders Kurtis Patterson is ruled out of tournament due to injury and South Australian batsman Cosgrove has been signed as an injury replacement and An english T20 player Jason Roy will replace his fellow countrymen one-day captain Eoin Morgan.All rounder Mcdonald is also injured while Dirk Nannes is dropped and replacing them will be Moran and fast bowler Chris Tremain.
A must win game for both side in a first ever match at spotless stadium Sydney and while thunders will be having crowd and some winning momentum with them we still think Hurricanes can get points are with their strong batting line up and thunders can be vulnerable depending too much on couple of players.
