This November is undoubtedly the worst month of
this year for Bollywood. There has been five major releases in last four
weekends and not a single one was able to excite the audience. so will
'Ungli' the last release of the month can end this lull phase?
Though there are some question marks surrounding that film its expected
to do so. the Rensil D'Silva directed film will mark the first venture
of Emraan Hashmi into the respected Dharma Production. The director
himself has some really impressive film name under his belt as a
screenwriter, but his first film as a director 'kurbaan' tanked on the
boxoffice in 2009 though the film was generally well recieved. also this
film will mark the reunion of Kangana Ranaut and emraan jodi after a
really long 5 years. the actress is coming from the unbelievable success
of Queen. yes, that film scored on word of mouth, but it still gave the
popularity of kangana a huge boost. Same can not be told on Emraan. its been a really long time that he had given a solid hit. in
fact, Raaz 3 is his last successful film and he wasn't the man behind
its success. since than films like Ghanchakkar, Ek Thi Dayan and this
year's Raja Natarwal all disappointment his fans. So the actor will try
to score with Ungli. apart from these two there are some really strong
supporting names like Randeep Hooda, Neha dhupia and most importantly
Sanjay Dutt.

The concept of a group of young people seeking
justice is hardly original but from the trailer its been clear that the
makers have done justice on the concept. Although music isn't
chartbuster Dance basanti and pakezah are riding on the music charts.
Last but not least as we pointed earlier, the market is wide open for a
well made film. Even the word of mouth on this film is above average it
still will have a solid run.
On the very last point, some may think that Zid might post some threat on Ungli but considering that film's erotic genre it has little chance at the multiplex which is Ungli's target audience.
So, the film's final verdict will depend on audience reaction but Emraan's presents will at least give the film a solid opening. so here is our first day and weekend prediction for Ungli :
First Day : 7 crore
Weekend : 25 crore
