Alongside its great 92.50 crore opening weekend in
India, PK's overseas earning is even more impressing. The film earned $
7.68
Million in all of its overseas market which translates into Rs 47.6
Crores. This is the second highest opening weekend for any bollywood
movie, just behind Aamir khan's own Dhoom3.
With Pk probably for
the first time any actor has dethroned Shahrukh khan from the top
position in the foreign market, where SRK was regarded the undisputed
king, Since Pk easily opens over his last two movies Happy
New Year and Chennai Express. The major highlight includes the record
breaking AUD 680,524 opening in Australia and a top 10 finish in north
America where it earned US $ 3,088,584. With the holiday period just in
the hindsight, Pk will eventually cross the lifetime overseas business
of Happy New Year to become the highest grossing film of 2014 in
overseas market.
