After an opening that was good but wasn't on par with what trade and audience expects from the team of 3 Idiots, Pk surprise everyone with a phenomenal Sunday growth. The movie earned 92.50 crore nett. on its first three days which is the second highest opening weekend of 2014 just behind Shahrukh khan's Happy New Year and above Salman khan's Kick. Below is the daily figures of PK
Saturday : 29.50 crore
Sunday : 37 crore
Though it falls behind the expected record figure (which was very unrealistic on first place for such a content based movie) the trend on Saturday and Sunday ensure that the Aamir khan-Raj kumar hirani's film is bound for a long run. Monday is also looking for a fantastic 18crore+ day and in this rate anything could happen, even the record lifetime business of Dhoom3 isn't out of reach.
