The Last Match of this year in KFC BiG Bash League
T20 will see Adelaide Strikers hosting Hobart Hurricanes on wednesday.
Strikers have won both their matches till now while Hurricane lost to
Sixers in last match and won their first match by defeating Stars very convincingly.
Skipper Johan Botha will be hoping that his team play well and remain
unbeaten in tournament at year's last match on Wednesday.
They are enjoying good run at top as Tim Ludeman and Craig Simmons have
looked great opening for strikers in previous games.Veteran Brad Hodge
gives them a reliable option in middle order to cash good start while
eyes will on Dangerous 7 feet carribean Keron Pollard who can be a big
threat to Hurricanes in final overs of inning.Shaun tait will lead their
bowling attack and if he can get his speedy delivery on right line
& length it will definitely cause problem for opposition.Skipper
botha along with Zampa will role their fingers to stop hurricane in
middle overs.
For Hurricane Alex Hales need to get his long term lost form back and
support Ben Dunk to get runs for team in power play.
Tim Paine looked good
in previous games and with cool customer George Bailey and Jonathan
Wells in the squad they can be difficult to get out soon. They are also
be having big hitters travis bert and Darren Sammy lower down the order
to accelerate things if needed.Ben Hilfenhaus was good in previous games
and will once again need to take quick early wickets with new ball.He
will be supported by Boyoce and spinner Doherty along with Sammy with
his variations.
This clash looks promising to give a thriller in year's last game and
both team have almost nothing to separate them on paper but with
Strikers having comfortable feel and hurricane in search for their
second we will edge it to Hobart to show more desperation and take
points in the last game of 2014.
Prediction - Hobart Hurricanes to win!!
